These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dropoud mobile application, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Dropoud Systems Ltd ("Dropoud", "we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
The Services are intended for students, lecturers, and tutors preparing for or supporting tertiary-level examinations in Nigeria. By using the Services, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Freemium and Premium Access
- Every account starts on the Freemium plan, which includes 3 free past-question videos, 1 free course for offline CBT practice, and a monthly free trial of DropAI.
- Premium subscriptions (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly) unlock unlimited past-question videos, offline CBT across all courses, and unlimited DropAI generation, as described on our Pricing page.
- Subscription prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) and may be updated from time to time; changes will not affect an already-active subscription period.
- Subscriptions do not renew automatically unless explicitly stated at the point of purchase; you may resubscribe at any time.
4. Payments and Wallet
- Payments, wallet top-ups, and subscriptions are processed through licensed third-party payment providers.
- All purchases are final. Refunds are considered only where required by law or at our sole discretion in cases of proven technical error.
- You are responsible for any charges incurred through your account.
5. Content on Dropoud
5.1 Lecturer and tutor content
- Lecturers and tutors retain ownership of the content they upload but grant Dropoud a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, distribute, and display that content through the Services.
- Content must be original or properly licensed, accurate to the best of the uploader's knowledge, and must not infringe any third party's rights.
- Dropoud reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
5.2 DropAI-generated content
Videos generated through DropAI are produced using artificial intelligence based on your prompts. While we aim for accuracy, AI-generated explanations may occasionally contain errors and should be used as a study aid, not as a sole source of truth.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials or resell access to the Services
- Download, record, redistribute, or republish videos or CBT content outside the Services
- Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Services
- Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes on the rights of others
7. Weekly Contests
Entry into weekly contests may require a fee (waived for Premium subscribers). Contest rules, timing, and prizes will be communicated within the app and may be updated from time to time.
8. Intellectual Property
The Dropoud name, logo, and platform (excluding user-uploaded content) are the property of Dropoud Systems Ltd and may not be used without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that content on Dropoud will result in any particular exam outcome.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dropoud shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
